My name is Robert
Sissom. I live in Reno, Nevada. I became
interested in Gold Nugget hunting several weeks
before my 65th birthday. My wife decided to do
some research on metal detectors as a possible
gift to me. We read articles, and talked to
several people including a nugget finder in
Lovelock, Nevada by the name of Smokey Baird. He
has been hunting for many years, and has been
very successful. He uses a Minelab GP3500. He
gave us one of Gerry's cards. We looked up
Gerry's website and discovered a three day
training session included in the price of the
detector. The fact that my birthday fell in the
middle of those 3 days was too good to pass up.
I met the group of trainees in Rye Patch, Nevada
on September 13th, and school began! Gerry has a
very unique way of mixing fun into intense
training. I strongly recommend his training and
The Minelab to anyone considering Nugget hunting
as a hobby. I found a 2.3 gram nugget on my
third trip out about two weeks after the school
ended. Ask him about the three P's.
