Thanks for the informative class.  I cant imagine buying a piece of equipment and not doing the training.  I goofed around with the unit in CA prior to taking the class, but now, after taking the class, I am confident in what I am doing, and that my friend, is half of the game.  The other half is being in an area where there is gold, and the nugget patch has it.  not a lot, just as you said, but enough to keep the small machines pinging and the big ones chirping every now and then.  The Minelab is a great tool, but without the class, it is only half of the deal.  Thanks much for your knowledge and help.  It was a great group and I heard nothing but good things from all people.
