I
recently purchased a Minelab GP 3000. Needless to
say it is a large investment. My purpose in
purchasing the GP was to use it at the many Ghost
Town sites I visit. THANKS to Gerry McMullin my plan
is working.
I
conducted much research before I purchased the
Minelab. Early on the Minelab became the clear
choice. After determining the brand, I was most
interested in finding a resource that provided hands
on field training. I could easily have purchased
from one of your big distributors if all I cared
about was price. I suspect you are wondering, “Why
price was not the criteria?”. During my research I
ran into numerous people that had purchased Minelab
products and told me that they wasted their money.
After asking critical questions what I discovered
was that they never had learned how to use their
detectors. They then became frustrated with the
product and either sold it or left it sitting in a
closet some place. Needless to say, these customers
of Minelab where not happy after investing in a high
end product that they felt did not work. They also
were not good references for your products.
I
saw the solution as purchasing the product and
training as a package. That is how I discovered
Gerry McMullin at Gerry’s Detectors. His philosophy
of providing field training as part of the purchase
of a new detector should be encouraged and rewarded
by Minelab. I am positive that he does not sell as
many detectors as the big box stores of the world
but I would bet that his customer satisfaction for
the Minelab products he sells is much higher.
Gerry took me and several others on a three day
training session in Rye Patch Nevada. We all
listened to his instructions, did what he said and
learned how to use our machines. Some of us, like
me, were even lucky enough to find our first nugget.
Since that training, only a month ago, I have
received emails from others indicating there
successes using their detectors.
You need to say THANKS and recognize Gerry for being
a great representative for Minelab. I know I
appreciate what he has done for me.
