I attended the 3 day Rye Patch, NV, training session with 3 goals in mind:
     - determine if my Gold Bug Pro was the right detector for my metal detecting plans in 
       Colorado
     - learn how to set, adjust and use my detector
     - learn to tell the difference between the hot rock signals and a true target signal
I am happy to say that I accomplished all 3 goals, and the frosting on the cake was finding
3 small pieces of gold!
The time was enjoyable, informative and very rewarding.  Meeting other metal detectorists from the United States, Canada and Russia was an added benefit.
