Here’s a coil that was designed specifically with the American goldfields in mind. Measuring approximately 9” long by 5” wide, this miniaturized version of our larger elliptical coils has helped bridge the gap between the VLF’s and the modern PI machines. Dubbed the “Sharp-Shooter”, this hot little monoloop coil is renowned for its’ uncanny sensitivity towards small gold. Capable of locating nuggets weighing less than 0.1 of a gram, this coil makes an excellent addition to any nugget hunters’ arsenal. Its’ small size, ease of maneuverability, and heightened sensitivity makes this coil ideal for bedrock sniping, crevicing, getting between thick brush, or for working dry-wash piles or mine dumps. Actual weight of coil including skid plate, cable and connector is 1.19 lbs. (or 539 grams).

Many of you will remember the original Minelab 8” mono that was popular with the SD2000’s and 2100’s. It was a great little coil with excellent sensitivity, and much gold was won with it. We wanted to bridge the gap between excellent sensitivity with added depth capabilities. The end result; the all new 10” round mono! This 1.56 pound (709 gram) wonder retains the qualities of the classic 8” mono while giving the operator added ground coverage and precious depth. How’s the sensitivity? Some of the nuggets found in Arizona during field testing were so tiny they would not trigger a digital scale! The 10” round is an excellent all-around prospecting coil that can be swung for hours on end with little fatigue. It is highly effectively in brushy or rocky country and for running creekbeds and washes. Also, because of its’ round shape, detectorists will notice a slight edge in depth when compared to the 10” ellip. mono.

This coil is a direct result of customer feedback. Nugget hunters across the western US asked for a search coil capable of ignoring a vast majority of the noisy soil and hot rocks which plague the goldfields, while still retaining high sensitivity to small gold. The coil also needed to be light and shaped so that it could be easily maneuvered around brush and other obstacles. What the folks at Nugget Finder came up with is the coil you see here. The DD configuration ensures stable operation in harsh environments, which means you’ll spend less time digging false signals and more time digging actual targets. The elliptical design will slightly improve sensitivity towards smaller nuggets over the traditional round shape. It is also important to mention that this coil will function with the SD2200 or GP Series built-in discriminator. Comes standard with a full 12-month factory warranty and includes heavy-duty skid plate and mounting hardware.

Whether probing beneath the granite boulders of Rich Hill, Arizona or scanning the hydraulic pits of California’s Mother lode – this little beauty is sure to brighten your day! Measuring approximately 14” long by 7” wide, this coil has quickly become one of the most popular weapons for the serious creek bed and gully hunter. The 14” is monoloop in configuration and elliptical in shape to offer maximum sensitivity towards smaller sized gold nuggets. It weighs 1.6 lbs. (or 737 grams) and comes standard with our robust black plastic skid plate and mounting hardware. Because of its’ narrow, knife blade-like design, the 14” can be easily maneuvered into tight nooks and crannies, beneath boulders, and amongst brush where other coils have difficulty reaching.

One of the first DD coils to be designed by Nugget Finder, the 16” round DD has proven to be one of the most stable coils in highly mineralized ground. The two things we’ve heard most often from our field testers is “It runs smooth” and “It punches deep; especially through clay”. The two internal overlapping windings allow the 16RD to significantly reduce the amount of background interference and false signals caused by conductive soils. Like all DD coils, this also provides an area of detection along its center. This blade-like pattern ensures detection coverage along the full length of the coil on each sweep. Generally speaking, the 16” round DD will not be as sensitive as the 16” round mono, however if the area you are working is heavily mineralized or contains abundant hot rocks, the 16RD coil is by far the best choice.

This 16” monoloop coil compliments the classic “round” design with our new lightweight hand-formed fiberglass housing to produce a search coil with excellent sensitivity and powerful depth. This coil is ideal for working wide-open spaces, hillsides and for deeper stretches of washes and gullies. A favorite among AZO Field Testers, the 16” mono has been incredibly popular throughout the western US. This coil weighs in at 2.7 lbs. (or 1247 grams). Comes standard with a full 12-month factory warranty and includes heavy-duty skid plate and mounting hardware.

For most detectorists weight has always been the primary concern. Heavy gear translates into fatigued muscles. A sore back or crook shoulder limits the amount of time spent in the field, which ultimately results in a loss of gold. It was this need that prompted Nugget Finder into developing their ultra lightweight fiberglass search coils. Although their coils are the lightest on the market, they have decided to take their existing line one-step further with the new Super-Light Series.

No fancy names here, just solid performance! This model has been one of our best sellers; especially in places such as Nevada, Arizona and southern California. At 17” long by 10” wide, this coil combines ample amounts of both sensitivity and depth making it one of the best well-rounded coils on the market. It is larger in diameter for added ground coverage, but because of its’ elliptical shape it is considerably more maneuverable. As far as weight goes, it tips the scales at approximately 2.19 lbs. (or 992 grams). The 17” can easily grab those ½ gram (and smaller) bits off the bedrock while still having the ability to reach out on the bigger nuggets at 12+ inches. This coil is monoloop in configuration and comes standard with a heavy-duty black plastic skid plate. A serious coil built for the serious prospector.

A big coil with even bigger performance! Its’ monoloop configuration and “above average” size allows it to pick out faint targets at great depths than its’ smaller counterparts. The 20” is proving itself to be a solid performer; in fact, one of our Australian field testers plucked 80-ounces of nuggets in a three-month period using this very coil! Like all NF coils, the 20” mono comes equipped with our unique heavy-duty black plastic skid plate and mounting hardware. Its’ primary application is for patch finding, ground coverage and chasing nuggets at depth. The 20” mono weighs in at 1340 grams.

Nugget Finder

A must have for the die-hard elliptical coil lover! Nugget Finder’s 24” ellip. mono stretches out into what can only be described as a high-tech “snow shoe”! While this design may look a bit odd, it offers the user a tremendous amount of ground coverage and above average sensitivity for such a large diameter coil. The monoloop configuration causes the coil to be “hot” around the edges which aides in pinpointing, plus it helps to maximize depth. Comes standard with a full 12-month factory warranty and includes heavy-duty skid plate and mounting hardware.
