GERRY'S METAL DETECTORS Gerry McMullen 1501 N. 12th Street Boise, ID 83702 (208) 345-8898 Email Us |
This old man (my dad) got me started in metal detecting in the early 1970’s. In all my years of detecting all over the country, I have yet to have a day as good as he did on this particular day. My dad took his Minelab X-Terra 50 out and kicked butt here in the old part of Boise. They had just removed a section of sidewalk and he was there ready to go. This particular sidewalk held some really nice old coins and artifacts under it. Check out these finds…(6) Indian Head Cents, the oldest was 1885. (2) Barber Dimes, the oldest was 1892. (2) Barber Quarters, the oldest 1901, a Pool Hall token and a really cool ornate and gold plated stamp of some kind (Wax Seal). Here is the cool part of all this. He never dug a new coin or even a wheat back cent. Everything was 1902 or older. Some day maybe I might do half that good? See. I told you so. “My Dad is Better than Yours”.
