Some More Ganes Photos
Here are a few more shots of the Ganes
Creek, AK trip that we took a couple weeks ago. |

Photo below is
a few gold nuggets that Jim from WA found while on the trip
with me.

One of the
vehicles that was flown in. They need rigs that can take a
beating since the terrain can get tough. What's better than
a Hummer? Notice the rock tailing have been leveled. This
site is very close (couple hundred yards) to where the 33.8
oz nugget was found a couple weeks ago.

Below is some
gold that Susan found this year. I am so proud of this girl
because last year it was not her time, but she never gave up
and this year she did much better. The quartz and gold
specimen is quite a piece. She had guts to come back again
and try. Hopefully she'll do better next year?

Below is a pile
of gravels that was dozed and leveled for detecting
purposes. After it gets detected, then they doze it and
remove more soil to make a virgin layer.

Last is a
photo. Don from AZ and his gold. He likes detecting the
benches and it paid off with many clinkers and a few nicer
size nuggets. Don also found a nice gold and quartz nugget
off 1.5 oz on the runway.
