My luck is still running strong and I am quite pleased with this find.  At 6am this morning, my youngest brother (Travis), a couple of my detecting buddies (Tony and Dan) showed up at my place to do some Independence Day Detecting in the morning before things get going for the holiday.  We arrived on the site (just outside of Boise) at 7am and by 7:10am, we were swinging our machines.  Well luck would be with me because at 7:25 am, I am starring this beauty in the face - A 1902-S Liberty $5 American Eagle Gold Coin, S- for the San Francisco mint.  In the 30+ years of detecting this is only my second gold coin.  I have still not cleaned it yet and an going to be careful since there is quite the detail on it.  Other than a couple small scratches on the left side of the face, everything is EXCELLENT condition.
