The Group and More Finds in Ganes - 2005
Not everyone will find bunches of gold and most
will not find a large nugget. One of the
reasons I go to Ganes Creek, AK is for the
opportunity to find a larger (very large) nugget
or specimen. I can find nuggets in most any
western state but the chance to find a big one
is probably the best in the world and I would
say you have a better chance there than even
Australia (in the same amount of time). It
is the chance to be with a group of prospectors
in Alaska and possibly find a large nugget that
keeps me going back. This year I not only
did it, but I found 2 pieces over 2 ounces.

The
group getting ready to head out. Notice the
required mosquito head nets.
I
can get order them if you need one. |

The
gang heading down the road for new ground to
detect.
If
you want to go far away, then this is the normal way
we get around.

A
really nice specimen (Minelab Eureka Gold) that
Frank F. from New York found on his 1st
day there.

All
smiles with his 3 nuggets, James from Texas was new
to detecting,
but still managed to find gold with his Fisher GB-2.
